Sketch Board FAQ
Short answers for common Sketch Board questions about saving, exporting, modes, layers, and editing.
Where should I start?
Start with Getting started if you are new, or Tool modes if you are unsure which mode to use.
My work seems missing. What should I check first?
Open the works gallery and check Unsaved, recent works, favorites, and the original file location. See Recover missing or unsaved work.
Which export format should I choose?
Use PNG/JPG for quick sharing, PDF for documents or printing, SVG or stroke data for editable workflows, and video/GIF when you want to show the process.
How do I draw over a reference image?
Add the image as a layer background, lower opacity, create a new handwriting layer, and draw above it. See Trace from an image.
Can I edit a stroke after drawing it?
Yes. Use Edit Stroke mode to change brush style, move strokes, adjust points, or refine curvature.
What is the difference between Select & Transform and Strokes Selector?
Select & Transform is best for direct item/background/single-stroke adjustment. Strokes Selector is best for circling and operating on multiple handwriting strokes.
