Recover missing or unsaved work in Sketch Board
Check Unsaved, autosave, recent files, and the original file location before assuming a board is lost.
Quick answer
If a board seems missing, first check the Unsaved collection, then recent works, favorites, and the folder where the board was originally saved.
Recovery checklist
- Open the works gallery.
- Check the Unsaved or recovery-related collection.
- Look at recent works and favorites.
- If you opened an external file before, check the original folder.
- Try opening the file directly from Windows if it is visible in File Explorer.
Why this happens
Sketch Board supports manual save, autosave, recent works, and file-based workflows. A work may be safe but appear in a different collection or folder than expected.
Prevention tips
- Save important boards manually after a long session.
- Keep related work in a known folder.
- Export important results as PDF or image when sharing.
- Avoid moving original files while they are still being edited.
