Guide
What does this tool solve?
The Canvas Size & Export Helper helps you decide how large a canvas should be before you start drawing or exporting. Start from pixels, millimeters, centimeters, or inches, choose a DPI, and get pixel size, print size, aspect ratio, and a downloadable blank canvas.
Use it for Sketch Board canvases, Paint Play video covers, Flexform reference pages, printable sheets, lesson thumbnails, and social covers. It complements the drawing practice sheet generator: one defines the canvas spec, the other creates template content.

How many pixels is A4 at 300 DPI?
A4 paper is 210 x 297 mm. At 300 DPI, it is about 2480 x 3508 px, which works well for printable sheets, handouts, and high-quality export.
What DPI should I use for a drawing canvas?
For screen-only drawing or publishing, pixel size matters more than DPI. For print, 300 DPI is a good default, while 600 DPI can help with fine line art.
Why use a safe area for cover images?
Video covers, course covers, and social images can be cropped or covered by UI on different devices. A safe area keeps important content away from the edges.
Should I download SVG or PNG?
PNG is best for direct import into drawing apps or publishing. SVG is better when you want to edit size, background color, or guides later.
