Import and export in Sketch Board

Choose image, PDF, SVG, stroke, video, or GIF export depending on how the work will be used.

Quick answer

Use image export for quick sharing, PDF for documents or printing, SVG or stroke export when editability matters, and video/GIF when the process is part of the result.

Import

Sketch Board can work with images, clipboard content, camera/image sources, and PDF-style document workflows. Imported material often works best when separated into its own layer.

Export

Recommended format by purpose:

PNG/JPG: fast sharing and previews.
PDF: document sharing, printing, and page-like workflows.
SVG: vector-style reuse when supported by the target workflow.
Stroke data: continued editing or advanced processing.
Video/GIF: showing a drawing process or animation-like output.

Tip

For important work, export a shareable file and keep the editable board file separately.
